this book is based on the history and evolution of urdu drama, covering the art of drama, its genesis and development, and various phases of urdu drama in the subcontinent. the author has examined the technical aspects of drama, also comparing ancient egyptian, chinese, greek, and sanskrit dramas. this book is essentially the initial part of the author's phd research thesis and aims to fulfill the academic requirements of urdu literature students.
