اپنا دل ہم تو ہتھیلی پہ لیے بیٹھے تھے
آزمانے میں بڑی دیر لگا دی تم نے
میں نے آہوں سے سنجویا تھا محبت کا چمن
خار لانے میں بڑی دیر لگا دی تم نے
جسم نے روح سے کل پوچھ لیا تھا آفیؔ
قید خانے میں بڑی دیر لگا دی تم نے
