इक भयानक तीरगी है रौशनी ऐ रौशनी
शम-ए-जाँ बुझने लगी है रौशनी ऐ रौशनी
क्या कोई भटका हुआ जुगनू इधर भी आएगा
रात गहरी हो चली है रौशनी ऐ रौशनी
आसमानों पर सितारे हैं न सीनों में शरार
ये क़यामत की घड़ी है रौशनी ऐ रौशनी
ख़त्म कब होगा ये एहसास-ए-ज़ियाँ का रत-जगा
एक इक लम्हा सदी है रौशनी ऐ रौशनी
हम अंधेरों के हवारी बन के ज़िंदा हैं मगर
ज़िंदगी शर्मिंदगी है रौशनी ऐ रौशनी
अपनी क़िस्मत में है नोक-ए-ख़ार या शाख़-ए-बहार
फूल हैं या फुलझड़ी है रौशनी ऐ रौशनी
