اتنے بیدار زمانے میں یہ سازش بھری رات
میری تاریخ کے سینے پہ اتر آئی تھی
اپنی سنگینوں میں اس رات کی سفاک سپہ
دودھ پیتے ہوئے بچوں کو پرو لائی تھی
گھر کے آنگن میں رواں خون تھا گھر والوں کا
اور ہر کھیت پہ شعلوں کی گھٹا چھائی تھی
راستے بند تھے لاشوں سے پٹی گلیوں میں
بھیڑ سی بھیڑ تھی تنہائی سی تنہائی تھی
