तमन्ना दिल में घर करती बहुत है
हवा इस दश्त में चलती बहुत है
जमाना रंग इस दुनिया से सीखे
कि है तो कुछ नहीं बनती बहुत है
उसे इक पल कभी रहने न देना
फफूँदी क़ल्ब पर जमती बहुत है
कि सारी उम्र अँगारे चुने हैं
हथेली हाथ की जलती बहुत है
'सुहैल-अहमद' समझ कर सर्फ़ करना
ज़रा सी ज़िंदगी लगती बहुत है
