تیرہ شبی کو نور میسر نہ ہو سکا
میرا چراغ ماہ منور نہ ہو سکا
تم بھی تو میرے عشق کی زینت نہ بن سکے
میں بھی تمہارے حسن کا زیور نہ ہو سکا
رکھ دی ہے میں نے جسم کی رگ رگ نچوڑ کر
لیکن وہ میری ذات سے باہر نہ ہو سکا
پہلو میں ناز و عشوۂ مہوش تو ہے مگر
اے یاد رفتگاں ترا ہمسر نہ ہو سکا
اک عالم نشاط مری دسترس میں ہے
لیکن وہ ایک شخص میسر نہ ہو سکا
