ये ग़ाज़ा है काजल है उबटन है क्या है
ये रंग-ए-हिना दाग़-ए-दामन है क्या है
लटक है मटक है झटक है अदा है
खटक है धड़क है कि धड़कन है क्या है
हया की बहारें हैं रानाइयों पर
ये जल्वा है मस्ती है जोबन है क्या है
ये फैली हुई ख़ुशबुओं की घटाएँ
ये गेसू है काकुल है उलझन है क्या है
तबस्सुम की बिजली क़यामत की शोख़ी
ये बाराँ है बादल है कड़कन है क्या है
जो साज़-ए-सितम हर तरफ़ बज रहा है
वो पायल है चूड़ी है कंगन है क्या है
ये कैसी जगह है कि दिल खो रहा है
बयाबाँ है सहरा है गुलशन है क्या है
कहूँ मैं कभू शे'र ऐसा तो कहिए
शरारत है लग़्ज़िश है भटकन है क्या है
जुनूँ का असर 'आहन' बे-नवा पर
ये जादू है टोना है बंधन है क्या है
