Maria Muzaffar, the first female Dastango (storyteller) of Aligarh in the present era, was born on May 9, 2001, in Anantnag, Kashmir. After completing her early education in her hometown, she enrolled at Aligarh Muslim University, marking the beginning of her journey in Aligarh. Driven by her deep passion for Urdu literature, she pursued a Bachelor's and Master's degree in the subject from the university.

Maria not only engages with literature through writing and narration but also believes in expressing it through the fine arts. Her love for artistic expression led her to actively participate in the university’s Literary Club and Drama Club. For nearly a decade, she has been dedicated to the service of Urdu language and literature, contributing significantly with her creative abilities. Currently, she is completing her B.Ed. degree from Aligarh Muslim University.
