ہم نے کب اپنے لیے سارا زمانہ چاہا
تم نے جو زخم دئے ہم کو بطور تحفہ
چادر اشک میں ہر غم کو چھپانا چاہا
میں نے کب مانگی حکومت یا کوئی تخت یا تاج
زندگانی میں فقط ساتھ تمہارا چاہا
تم نے دامن کو پکڑ کر مجھے روکا ہر دم
میں نے جب جب بھی محبت سے کنارا چاہا
