H بہتي बहती bahtī, s.f. (from bahtā), Imported goods in bond:—bahtī karnā, v.t. To permit imported goods to be exported free.

H بہتا बहता bahtā (imperf. part. of bahnā), adj. (f. -ī), Running, flowing (water), floating, gliding away; afloat:—bahte pānī-meṅ hāth dhonā, lit. 'To wash one's hands in the running stream'; to pay attention to one's friends; to attend to one's own business or affairs while the opportunity is favourable, to make hay while the sun shines; to swim with the tide.
