Order, command, mandate, edict, decree; a royal letter; a royal patent, a grant, charter:—farmān-bar-dār, adj. & s.m. Subject to orders, subject, obedient; compliant, complying;—bearing or charged with orders;—a subject; a servant; attendant, retainer, vassal, &c. (syn. tāběʻ-dār):—farmān-bardārī, s.f. Subjection; obedience; allegiance, loyalty, fealty;—farmān-bardārī karnā (-kī), To yield obedience to the commands (of), to obey, to be subject (to):—farmān-dih, adj. & s.m.
