A فصيل faṣīl, vulg. ṣafīl (v.n. fr. فصل; see faṣl), s.f. A low wall of enclosure in front of a fortress, or of the
main wall of a city or town; a breastwork, intrenchment; rampart, wall of defence.

A فصل faṣl, vulg. faṣal (inf. n. of فصل 'to separate, or divide,' &c.), s.f. (the seed is sown at the commencement of the rainy season, and the crop is reaped about Oct.-Nov.):—faṣl-ě-rabīʻ, s.f. The season of spring; the spring harvest (see rabīʻ; the crops of this season consist of wheat, barley, peas, gram, poppy, &c.):—faṣl-ě-gul, s.f. The season of flowers, the spring (=faṣl-ě-bahār or bahār).
