To convert into a level plain; to raze to the ground;—to wage war, to fight:—maidān-ě-qalam (or qalam-kā maidān), s.m. The shaft, or the nib, of a pen:—maidān-kashī, s.f. Drawing out for battle:—maidān mārnā (-), To win a battle:—maidān-meṅ, adv. In the plain; in the open:—maidān-meṅ ānā, To come into the plain, or field; to come out (to fight).
