H سڙك सड़क saṛak [S. सरकः; or fr. saṛaknā, qq.v.], s.f. A continuous line of road, road, high-road, highway (see sarak and saraknā):—saṛak-ě-āhanī, s.f. Rail-road, railway (syn. lohe-kī saṛak or rel-kī saṛak):—saṛak banānā, To make a road; to repair a road:—saṛak-phāṅsī, s.f.=sarak-phāṅsī, q.v.:—saṛak kāṭnā or saṛak nikālnā, To cut out a line of road, to break ground for a road, to lay out a road, to make a road:—pakkī saṛak, s.f. A macadamized or metalled road:—ṭhanḍī saṛak, s.f. A road which is kept watered:—kaććī saṛak, s.f. A road which is not macadamized, or not beaten down and hardened.
