faza mein karb ka ehsas gholti hui raat

aise bhi kuchh lamhe yaro aaenge

pesh-e-manzar jo tamashe the pas-e-manzar bhi the

fazaen KHushk thin ghar ki to bahar kyon nahin dekha

andhere DhunDne nikle khanDar kyun

fikr kam bayan kam

sabz-ruton mein rang-e-KHizani paDhte hain

sazishon ki bhiD mein tarikiyan sar par uThae

andhere band kamron mein paDe the

ehsas-e-be-talab ka hi ilzam do hamein

mamta-bhari nigah ne roka to Dar laga

hijr-mausam tha satati rahi tanhai hamein

raushni bhar KHala pe bar the hum

hum dasht-e-be-karan ki azan ho gae to kya

mana ki zalzala tha yahan kam bahut hi kam

raat ke gumbad mein yaadon ka basera ho gaya hai

nashat-e-dard ke mausam mein gar nami kam hai

nim ke patton ka zaKHmon ko dhuan de dijiye

ufuq pe dudhiya saya jo panw dharne laga

be-talluq ruh ka jab jism se rishta hua
