bagh mein phul khile mausam-e-sauda aaya

tum baat karo us se jo ho baat ke qabil

jaane lage hain ab dam-e-sard aasman talak

husn-e-be-parda ki garmi se kaleja pakka

aah kab lab par nahin hai dagh kab dil mein nahin

kis tarah aae teri bazm-e-tarab mein aaina

un ka raha mizaj jo barham tamam raat

kis KHarabi se main us dar tak gaya

bulbul ke dil se uD gai fariyaad ki hawas

qatil hai teri zulf-e-girah-gir ki zanjir

na aae wo pahle tawaqquf kiya
