Kah Mukarniyan is a form of poetry that is written with double-entendre. This form of Paheli was made popular by Ameer Khusrau

"Qita" is collection of only 2 couplets (sher) that are interconnected and are linked to each other. It presents a particular thought or idea in a sequential manner.

Tarkib-Band is a stanza of 5-11 couplets written in the ghazal form, with the concluding couplet having the same metre but a defferent rhyming word.

"Ashra" is a genre of Urdu poetry in which a poet expresses his/her thoughts in just ten verses (misra). Ashra is an Arabic word, which literally means ten.

"Wasokht" involves the lover reproaching his beloved for tormenting ways, asserting that his love enhances her worth. Meer Taqi Meer chose "musaddas" as a form for the Wasokht, which became its structure

"Tazmeen" is writing a couplet or a misra on a couplet or a misra by another poet.

The word mustazad means ‘to add’. It is generally written by adding a line to a line of a Rubai, with this addition intensifying the poetic effect.
