नहीं ऐसा कोई मेरा जो मातम-दार होएगा
नहीं ऐसा कोई मेरा जो मातम-दार होएगा
मगर इक ग़म तिरा ऐ शोख़ बे-कस हो के रोएगा
अगर उगते रहे ऐ ना-उमीदी दाग़ ऐसे ही
तो काहे को कोई तुख़्म-ए-तमन्ना दिल में बोएगा
इलाही वो भी दिन होगा कि जिस में एक साअ'त भी
मैं रोऊँगा वो अपने हाथ मेरे मुँह को धोएगा
जो ऐसे शोर से रोता है दिन को 'मीर' तो शब को
न सोने देगा हमसायों को नै ये आप सोएगा
