Sahar Alig, whose real name is Farheen Shakeel, was born on January 1, 1998, in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. She received her early education in her hometown and later enrolled at Aligarh Muslim University. She completed her M.A. in Urdu and B.Ed. from Aligarh and is currently engaged in research work in the Department of Urdu at the same university.  

She had a passion for poetry since childhood, but she formally began writing during her M.A. years. For the past five years, her literary journey has been progressing with brilliance, with her verses reflecting a fresh sensibility and a distinctive poetic tone.
