unki nigah-e-naz ke Thukrae hue hain

nai sahar hai ye logo naya sawera hai

yaad aai wo zulf-e-pareshan

soz-e-gham se jigar jal raha hai magar mera dard-e-nihan aashkara nahin

buton ka sath diya but-shikan ka sath diya

tamam raat wo jaga kisi ke wade par

mujhe suno ki hadis-e-ghazal-numa hun main

mamnun-e-gesu-o-lab-o-ruKHsar kaun hai

har ek aankh ko zauq-e-jamal de ya-rab

husn-e-KHud-bin ka ishaara mujhe malum na tha

raat guzri to yaqin tha ki sawera hoga

bu-e-gul rang-e-hina naz-e-nasim-e-sahari

kabhi chaman se kabhi anjuman se guzre hain
