A آثار ās̤ār (pl. of as̤ar), s.m. Footprints, vestiges, tracks, traces, marks, signs, tokens, remains, relics, monuments or memorials; effects; impressions; indications of state or condition, promises, symptoms; sayings or traditions of Moḥammad; origin; basis, foundation (of a building, &c.); breadth of a wall:—ās̤ār-i-sharīf, ās̤ār-i-mubārak, s.m. The venerated sayings or traditions of Moḥammad; the sacred relics of Moḥammad; the four companions or disciples of Moḥammad who were his successors.
