Akhlaq Husain Qasmi Dehlavi was born on 18 January 1924 in Delhi. He obtained the prestigious Fazil-e-Darul Uloom degree from Darul Uloom Deoband, Uttar Pradesh. He later served as the Rector (Mohtamim) of Jamia Rahimia in New Delhi and rendered distinguished services as a Qur’anic exegete.

More than twenty of his books on Islamic studies, Qur’anic exegesis, and religious and social subjects were published. In addition, he authored numerous research-based and explanatory articles on various aspects of the Qur’an and Islamic studies.

Akhlaq Husain Qasmi Dehlavi remained associated with several educational, religious, and cultural institutions. He participated in national and international conferences and seminars and presented a number of scholarly papers. His academic contributions, particularly in Qur’anic studies, Islamic thought, Seerah studies, and the promotion of religious education, are held in high esteem.

Death: Akhlaq Husain Qasmi Dehlavi passed away in Delhi in 2009.
