Khwaja Khalil Ahmad Shah was born on 9 December 1890 in Bahraich. His father’s name was Khwaja Ahmadullah Shah. He was a distinguished freedom fighter, politician, social reformer, and writer from Bahraich who played an important role in India’s freedom movement, public service, and intellectual life.
He was associated with the Indian National Congress and was elected as a member of the United Provinces Legislative Council in 1927. Due to his active participation in the freedom struggle, he also endured imprisonment and political hardships. He worked extensively for educational and social development in Bahraich and contributed to the establishment and growth of several institutions.
Khwaja Khalil Ahmad Shah also made valuable contributions to literature and intellectual discourse. His notable works include “Fasadi Mulla Ya Dushmanan-e-Islam Ka Agent” and “Hindustan-e-Qadeem Aur Islam (Part I)”. His writings reflect national consciousness, religious thought, and concern for social issues.
He passed away in 1965 in Bahraich. His life remains a remarkable example of national service, public welfare, and intellectual commitment.
