biich meñ hai mere us ke ai āh-e-hazīñ

sulh kyūñkar hove jab tak darmiyāñ koī na ho

bich mein hai mere us ke tu hi ai aah-e-hazin

sulh kyunkar howe jab tak darmiyan koi na ho

furqat meñ kār-e-vasl liyā vaah vaah se

har āh-e-dil ke saath ik armāñ nikal gayā

furqat mein kar-e-wasl liya wah wah se

har aah-e-dil ke sath ek arman nikal gaya

huuñ tishna-kām-e-dasht-e-shahādat zi-bas ki maiñ

girtā huuñ āb-e-ḳhanjar-o-shamshīr dekh kar

hun tishna-kaam-e-dasht-e-shahadat zi-bas ki main

girta hun aab-e-KHanjar-o-shamshir dekh kar
