kyun kisi aur ko dukh dard sunaun apne

is ibtida ki saliqe se intiha karte

main jurm-e-KHamoshi ki safai nahin deta

agle din kuchh aise honge

kab talak yun dhup chhanw ka tamasha dekhna

paDhne bhi na pae the ki wo miT bhi gai thi

kab ziya-bar tera chehra-e-zeba hoga

shikwa-e-gardish-e-haalat liye phirta hai

dard baDhta hi rahe aisi dawa de jao

raat aai hai balaon se rihai degi

jis tarah ki hain ye diwaren ye dar jaisa bhi hai

bajaT maine dekhe hain sare tere

kaisi kaisi aayaten mastur hain nuqte ke bich

bas yunhi ek wahm sa hai waqia aisa nahin

ishaaraton ki wo sharhen wo tajziya bhi gaya

sochna ruh mein kanTe se bichhae rakhna

us hasin ke KHayal mein rahna

use to pas-e-KHulus-e-wafa zara bhi nahin

main dekh bhi na saka mere gird kya gaya tha

mujhe KHud se bhi khaTka sa laga tha

bas ab tark-e-talluq ke bahut pahlu nikalte hain

meri qismat ki wo ab hain mere gham-KHwaron mein

duniya bhi ajab qafila-e-tishna-laban hai

jo barishon mein jale tund aandhiyon mein jale

darmiyan gar na tera wada-e-farda hota
