आँखों में उस की मैं ने आख़िर मलाल देखा
किन किन बुलंदियों पर अपना ज़वाल देखा
आती जाती है वो अब साँस की सूरत मुझ में
कब गई और कब आई मुझे मालूम नहीं
बहुत परहेज़ है उस को मिरा बीमार हो कर भी
किसी सूरत मुझे अपनी दवा होने नहीं देता
समझते ही नहीं हैं लोग ना-समझी की मुश्किल को
सुहूलत देखते हैं और समझना छोड़ देते हैं
हमारे मुँह पे उस ने आइने से धूप तक फेंकी
अभी तक हम समझ कर उस को बच्चा छोड़ देते हैं
